| Applying for the GED Test
GED Test Date Our next General Education Development test is scheduled for Saturday, March 27 and Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Arrive at the TTCJ no later than 7:45AM. You should receive a letter from our Student Services Office that describes the location of the test, the testing date, the fee, and the deadline for payment. If you have not paid your test fee prior to the deadline, you will be become an alternate on the day of testing. If you have any questions, please contact our Student Services Office. Tip: Take some time the day before the test to relax. By this time, you have studied the materials that may have been challenging, and have reviewed those materials that were familiar to you. Do not review the entire test material. Also, ensure that you will be thoroughly rested on the day of the test. DO NOT CRAM the night before. Usually, cramming only makes you tired, not better prepared! GED related information links include:

Passing scores on the Compass test are now required before being eligible to apply for admission to the Practical Nursing Program. The Compass Test focuses on Math and Reading skills which is similar to the NET test.. Passing scores on the Nursing Entrance Tests (NET) are still being accepted if you took the NET from June 2008 to November 2009. The Center will be providing several test dates each trimester prior to the beginning of our next PN class in 2010 deadline. The cost of the test is $15 and may be paid at the Center's Business Office during normal business hours. Applicants may pay in advance, or on the day of the test. A study guide can be purchased by contacting Mo-Media at 1-800-673-8175 or www.mo-media.com/compass. We have found the average test scores of those who have studied the guide, or have utilized practice tests site from the internet are higher than average. Therefore, we encourage each of you to purchase the guide or utilize the websites listed below several weeks prior to the test date.
